During Obon my brother came to visit (yay!) and we finally got to visit the famous Himeji Castle!
Himeji Castle, also known as the White Heron Castle due to it's incredible white walls, is a world heritage site. It's structure has been preserved for hundreds of years, and it's undeniable beauty make it one of Japan's most famous castles.
We were very fortunate to get some lovely sunshine (and some not so lovely humidity...) before the rain hit later in the week.

The castle is surrounded by beautiful grounds. |

Oh look! One of the very few tourists there that day... (note the sarcasm) |
|
View from the top! |

Stunning! |
If you ever find yourself in Japan, put Himeji Castle on your to-do list! It is breath taking!!
See you!
